Umbrella Day (sold)

This one was painted during the Masterclass last October.

I think this one was the demo, that I do finish throughout the day I am teaching. :)

Some other teachers have said they like this idea, painting alongside, and I always say: I couldn’t do without painting myself.

Otherwise, I wouldn’t have the energy to teach. I make ‘my rounds’, help people individually and when I’ve talked to everyone I take 5 minutes brushing away at my own painting. I find this relaxing. So I can teach better. Also, I would get frustrated if everybody painted except me. That wouldn’t be right. Also: people can see the progress of my painting throughout the day because obviously, I cannot complete a painting in the 20-minute morning demonstration. :)

Here a painting showing a rainy moment in class. Great when you can paint the umbrellas too.
