Seascape Morning View Ocean (Carmel)
This was around 6 AM, no real sunrise, a bit of light on the waves, rain coming in from the left horizon. A great morning.

When choosing something for jury: it’s just a wild guess yes – or you choose the ones you love – plus what fits well together. Do you never think “this should have won”? Anyway I do :)
Sure. You just seemed really surprised that you didn’t win an award for this one, and I’m not totally sure why.
I would have thought Ken preferred other paintings :) the ‘loose’ versus the ‘realistic figurative’. But I was wrong. Ah well. Done is done. I also think bigger paintings do better, so I’ll paint bigger next time.
