Isn’t this one glorious :)
I am never sure of any outcome of a painting! Most don’t expect this. Don’t expect me to say this or hear this. You might think all comes easy and without doubt. I’m here to say, yes there’s a lot of doubt! “Can I do this?” going through my head A Lot!
But the trick is to go in anyway. Dive in head first. Just follow through. And finish!
Moments after I still might doubt the painting – 2 weeks after I love it. So, paint it & leave it alone. Then, a few weeks later look at it again.
Of course, sometimes you’ll get happily surprised, sometimes disappointed. All in the game :)
And for me, this also happens. Some are meant to be trashed. Nothing you can do about it. All the more reason to accept it.
You’ll be a lot more free in painting when you’ve accepted the ‘sometimes win – sometimes lose’ aspect! –Enjoy what paint can do & let go of the pressure.
