Old Town Sky – Golden Line

Old Town San Diego.

This could be painted anywhere :) I know. I started a great painting in this State Park, but a beer came in-between, light gone, and I could wipe it off. This great sky motivated me to squeeze one more in. :)

Your skies are always so expressive. Capturing that very fleeting moment, so quickly??? Glad you were able to get this one in at the end the day. Someone is going to love to own this piece! Beautiful.

The benefits of painting ‘just skies’ or ‘just cows’ or ‘just seascapes’ for a long time in a row: you’ll find ways to paint ‘m more quick. Because ‘you’ve done it before’. You then know what to look for, what is essential, how to mix the colors -faster. That’s it. Yes I love the golden light. Was enough motivation to not go home ’empty’ but with the sky we saw!
