Painting Sunrise and Clouds

Sunrise and Clouds

A beautiful morning with a lot of Clouds moving. Yes it’s often ‘nicest’ just before or just after the rain.

The hard part is to paint the blue sky: but to NOT paint it blue :)

The great thing about this painting in my opinion is the rich and high clouds, especially the colouring of it all, the usage of a lot of yellow, also in the blue part. There’s a real sense of unity thoughout the whole painting: Sky & Land united.

Here’s a ‘snapshot’ video, not meant to be perfect, often the sound is windy and the footage shakes, though you might like this ‘taste of the moment’.

    Hi Roos,
Your paintings are always beautiful to look at.
I paint sometimes in aquarel and not in oil.
So I don’t use your course in oil paint.
But this course is à very good idea and I hope that you have success with it.
Perhaps I can do it next year.
    Success!!!!

Thanks Jose, yes it’s a great course with personal interaction. It’s also a try out. If people like it better without the coaching I will offer it seperately next time!

I just LOVE the entire presentation and a glimpse of the “soul” behind the whole process of creating this painting – this is a wonderful promotion!
