You can find the creation process in a 3-step image here below in this blog post.
Aw! The process! This painting was recorded as a full-length demo! Most of my circle has already seen its announcement, a week ago I could launch it. If you want to see what I’m talking about go here: https://www.youareamasterpainter.com/demo-cows.
This process even had a full-wipe-out in it! And -haha- yes this will happen and will keep to happen to us all.
In fact, it often is a new chance. When you listen to the voice saying ‘It can’t be created from here, let’s start over’, you should listen :)
Often I get emails asking if I can start a ‘live’ cow-painting class. I did have these a long long time ago. The major problem is that I need to drive around on the day of painting to find/see where the cows are at. You never know where the farmer decides to ‘plant them’. So I’m sticking with my ‘live’ beach classes, which in a way is, I think, the best way to dive in headfirst.
‘The landscape’ can induce ‘laziness’, which you’ll easily avoid being at the beach. Perhaps in Summer you can get more lazy painting done at the beach😅. And this won’t help the quality of the painting often. That’s why sitting -if you can- needs to be avoided too. Test it out :)
The more ‘turbulent’ the subject, skies, kids, beach light, waves, the more painting itself can pull you in, letting you come into a state of flow. This benefits all of the painting often. The state you’re in reflects itself into your brushwork for one. Another reason to go outside to paint!
